When two people of faith come together to be joined in marriage, I believe that there is something very significant about a wedding ceremony administered by an anointed man or woman of God. Furthermore, I believe the wedding vows, prayer, Holy Communion and the blessings all set the couple apart as members of the family of God and a reflection of Christ and his Church.
WEDDING PACKAGES

** Premarital Preparation **

Perhaps one of the most important contributions to marital harmony and happiness is effective premarital preparation. Couples often question the need for premarital counseling. They indicate that they already know each other well enough and that talking to a Pastoral counselor would be a waste of time. However, every couple should enter marriage with the confidence that they have established a foundation strong enough to withstand the challenges of life.

 

I believe marriage is a divine institution and that it is God’s idea. He knows best what marriage should be and how married people should conduct their relationship. Getting to know what marriage is, from God’s perspective, should be of great concern for every couple considering marriage. Studies show that couples who receive premarital counseling have 70 – 80% chance for success compared to those who do not.

Premarital counseling with Reverend Alvin Powell will accomplish several goals:

 

  1. Plan the ceremony.

  2. Establish (counselor) rapport with the couple.

  3. Give relationship information.

  4. Through diagnostic testing couples gain deeper understanding of self and prospective mate.

  5. Help the couple objectively assess their own relationship.

  6. Identify potential areas for growth and change.

 

** Wedding Packages **

 

(Ceremony Only) Basic Option: $300 / Ceremony Retainer ($150)

*** To qualify for this option you must have completed premarital counseling (religious or secular).  

The Basic Option includes: Initial consultation, review outline of your wedding vows; customization of the ceremony, rehearsal walk-thru, your wedding ceremony, reception blessing (optional), filing marriage license with local municipality. Minister Alvin will be available to you via email, phone and in-person to ensure that you are kept abreast of every aspect of his services to ensure you are completely comfortable with the process.

 

Standard Option: $675 / Ceremony Retainer ($150) + per session fee

The Standard Option includes all of the Basic services plus the fast-track premarital counseling option. You will receive (4) fast-track ‘Preparing for Marriage God’s Way’ sessions. *Includes four (90 minute) sessions, two workbooks, APS Temperament Profiles, and relationship assessment.

 

Premium Option: $835 / Ceremony Retainer ($150) + per session fee

The Premium Option includes all of the Basic services plus the comprehensive premarital counseling option. You will receive (6) comprehensive ‘Preparing for Marriage God’s Way’ sessions. *Includes six (90 minute) sessions, two workbooks, APS Temperament Profiles, and relationship assessment.

Premarital Prep Boot Camp Option ($700) includes Wedding Officiant Services

The Boot Camp Option is provided to couples who have special circumstances.  This option includes all of the Basic services plus a one session fast track premarital counseling Boot Camp. Contact us to discuss details, availability and payment schedule.
